'The Cat's Table' by Michael Ondaatje received great praise at last week's meeting. All agreed it is a very well written, gorgeously descriptive coming of age tale about an 11 year old boy aboard a ship destined for England. It is almost autobiographical in tone which everybody seemed to enjoy and is rich with interesting character sketches.
