Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin

After watching a few episodes of the new TV series "Game of Thrones" I started reading the book. I am only half way through and I am hooked. Set in the Seven Kingdoms, lots of intrigue and backstabbing to gain control of the throne!

BOOK CLUB

This month's book was 'Peace' by Richard Bausch. It was enjoyed by most people but some had difficulty with the theme of war. The group felt that the book was extremely well written but they would be careful of who they'd recommend it to. Personally, I though it was an exceptional book with great insights into the trauma of war and how it affects the ordinary soldier.

Next month's book is 'The Immortal Life of Henreitta Lacks' by Rebecca Skloot and the next meeting is on Tuesday 7th June at 6.30pm.
